Who is Jimmy Winkelmann?

Hey everybody -

I’m always getting a lot of e-mails and comments from fans and supporters of The South Butt and I generally do my best to make sure I reply to all questions / comments. Over the past few weeks though, I’ve been getting a lot personal questions about myself, my hobbies, what I do for fun – all types of things. I decided to take some of these questions and answer them here. If you have more questions, let me know, I’ll try and get to those too.

Where are some of your favorite places you’ve visted?
I really enjoy Colorado. I snowboard as much as I can and I always end up having the best times in Colorado. I also really liked Amsterdam.. so, probably a tie between those two. Both are really different, but I had a lot of fun at each.

I saw you walking around campus on crutches, what’s up with that?
Ah, yes.. I tore my ACL during an unfortunate incident in October and I’ll be on crutches (one crutch starting soon) until next semester. If you see me around campus, please come offer to help carry my things. Also – cakes, brownies, cupcakes and other baked goods will help the recovery process.

What kind of music do you like?
This is a tough question to answer because I really like a lot of stuff. If I had to name some favorites though, I would say Phish, Bob Marley, and The Grateful Dead; I really like jam bands.

What’s something someone might not know about you?
I really like to work out – I lift weights everyday. I also know how to play the piano.

Are you single? And if so, what qualities would you look for in a girl?
I am single. I like girls who are in good shape and care about personal fitness, are outgoing, like to travel. If they like snowboarding, that would be a bonus, but is not a requirement. Also, no smokers – I don’t like cigarettes or smoke.

If I were you I would try to settle out of court. I’m sure their company has far more legal resources than you and can easily drag this out in court. Maybe because of the recent exposure you might have a solution to that in the form of a pro-bono attorney. You may have better advice than I know of, but I just don’t think you can fight them and expect to win.

    best regards,

    –Will.

Some of these comments crack me up. The ones who are defending North Face have no sense of humor and neither does the company. All they’ve managed to do is increase your sales. I hope all this lawsuit manages to do is make you more successful.

Hey Jimmy…good work and best of luck with the legal stuff.
I went to SMSU in the 80’s with a Tom Winkelmann. Is he any relation to you?
I am betting my husband Ben, that Tom is your Dad.

I say way to go!!!!! Our country needs brilliant young talented business people. Let’s be honest – there are times you can’t tell the difference between a butt and a face or a buttface for that matter!

Your company is corny as hell and should get sued. It’s not creative at all and it’s a disgrace to your life.
